Ḥadīth Lesson: Spending on Family Is Sadaqah

Hadith Lesson every Tuesday after Dhuhr prayer with Mawlana Sheikh Muhammad Adil ar-Rabbani

Ego: Our Greatest Enemy

Mawlana Sheikh ‘Abdu Llāh used to say: “Mankind has four enemies.” The greatest is the ego. Don’t do what the enemy wants! Don’t compromise! What’s the cure for addiction and gambling?

Everything Without Mentioning Allāh ﷻ Is in Vain

Allāh ﷻ has made all creatures subservient to mankind. But mankind never mentions Allāh ﷻ and denies Him ﷻ. Knowledge is that which makes us know Allāh ﷻ. Otherwise it’s nothing but ignorance.

Importance of One Hour of Contemplation

“An hour of contemplation is better than seventy years of worship”, says our ‎Prophet ﷺ. It’s so important that it saves a person here and hereafter; leading him to the right way.

Virtues of Night Prayer

Night prayer is a favor from Allāh ﷻ and our ‎Prophet ﷺ for us. What are the virtues of night prayer? How can one wake up for tahajjud? And what prayers are performed?

Boundaries of Mourning

Our ‎Prophet ﷺ has taught us the boundaries of mourning. Yesterday was ‘Ashūra. Some weep, yell and beat themselves. This is an unnecessary burden and sin. What are the boundaries of mourning? And what should we say and do?

Honor His ﷺ Way to Attain Salvation

Honor the blessed day of ‘Ashūra. Our ‎Prophet ﷺ honored it and commanded us to honor it. Following him ﷺ is our way to salvation. Disbelief is not a skill. Regret here before it’s too late.

Always Be with the Truth

People now are unjust and stand with the unjust; thinking they’ve gained and it’s over. You may have not been caught in dunyā, but in ākhirah, you will be caught. Always be with the truth and the righteous; Allāh ﷻ will honor you here and hereafter.

Ḥadīth Lesson: On Giving Sadaqah

Hadith Lesson every Tuesday after Dhuhr prayer with Mawlana Sheikh Muhammad Adil ar-Rabbani

Glorify What Allāh ﷻ Glorifies

‘Ashūra is a very blessed day. Each must perform from worship as much as they can; that will be a benefit for them. What is the worship to be done?

Shayṭānic Education System

It’s our duty to live, love and hate for Allāh’s ﷻ pleasure. People are now following the shayṭānic education system; initially by force, and later of their own free will. This system forces mankind into a single mold; “Study, study.” Instead of being afraid of Allāh ﷻ, they’re afraid of the future and their livelihood.

Beware of Laziness

Laziness is an undesirable trait. Allāh ﷻ says, finish one deed then directly start another. Prophets and Awliyā’ worked to earn their livelihood and to constantly serve Islām. Consequently, you’ll be safe from shayṭān.

Believe Allāh’s ﷻ Word Not Mankind’s

Allāh ﷻ has informed us of the occurrences of qīyamah. People choose to fear this and that and not fear Allāh ﷻ. They believe mankind-made words and not Allāh’s ﷻ blessed words. Īmān is believing everything He ﷻ said will happen in its time.

Praise Belongs to Allāh ﷻ

Praise is only for Allāh ﷻ. Thanks can be to everyone but praise is His ﷻ only. Praise Allāh ﷻ in goodness and what you perceive as badness: your rank will rise and hardship will disappear.

Don’t Follow the Herd

Most people are not on the right way; only a few are. It’s easier for mankind to follow their egos. Look, the right way is clear. Don’t say, “All people are doing this, it must be right.” Following the herd will lead you astray.

Three Beautiful Teachings

In the ḥadīth lesson yesterday, we read a ḥadīth of our ‎Prophet ﷺ in which he tells us three beautiful teachings. Overcoming one’s ego and following them is a means to a person’s lifelong goodness, beauty and happiness, both here and hereafter.

Ḥadīth Lesson: The Importance of Sadaqah

Hadith Lesson every Tuesday after Dhuhr prayer with Mawlana Sheikh Muhammad Adil ar-Rabbani

Our Years Shouldn’t Be Wasted

Today is the 1st of Muḥarram. This year will be better, in shā’a Llāh. Days and years pass in an instant. But when on the way of Allāh ﷻ, it becomes a full and meaningful year. Years shouldn’t be wasted. May it be the year of Mahdi (as).

Remind of the Hijrī New Year

People often congratulate each other for the Gregorian New Year. Tonight, with the Maghrib adhān, is the start of the Hijrī New Year. Remind each other of it and fast two days including ‘Āshūra.

The Greatest Honor Is Being from His ﷺ Ummah

Being from his ﷺ ummah is the greatest honor. Allāh ﷻ forgives whatever is done unintentionally or under duress; and that’s granted only to his ﷺ ummah. Those who understand its value will gain here and hereafter.

Honor the Hijrī Days

The migration of our Holy ‎Prophet ﷺ has become the Islamic New Year; starting from Muḥarram. It marks the start of Islamic history. We must honor and respect everything that reminds us of the Hereafter, Allāh ﷻ and our ‎Prophet ﷺ.

Our Way Is Sincerity

Naqshbandī ṭarīqah teaches adab. What’s important is sincerity. All kinds of goodness is for the sake of mashāyikh because their essence is sincerity.

Gardens of Paradise in Dunyā

Our ‎Prophet ﷺ says, there are gardens of Paradise in dunyā. What are they? Through them one attains spiritual and physical strength.

Wisdom of Accepting His ﷻ Will

Everything Allāh ﷻ wills is beautiful and good. Accepting everything as good is wisdom that we pray Allāh ﷻ grants us. This wisdom grants us peace.

Spend from What Allāh ﷻ Gives

Allāh ﷻ says to spend from what He ﷻ gives you. Keep some provision at home, as Mawlānā advised, but don’t let it be wasted. Before it gets old, let the poor benefit from it, and you will receive reward. The giving hand is better than the receiving hand, and it is a great favour from Allāh ﷻ when their rizq passes through your hand.

Ask Forgiveness While You Are Breathing

Allāh ﷻ says the day of account is near, but people remain heedless. Before the account comes, while you are still breathing in this world, ask Allāh ﷻ for forgiveness. If you regret your sins in this life, Allāh ﷻ forgives and keeps you safe in the next life. Do not miss this chance by running after the pleasures of dunyā and forgetting the ākhirah.

If You Love Allāh ﷻ, Follow the Prophet ﷺ

Allāh ﷻ says in the Holy Qur’ān: if you love Allāh ﷻ, follow the Prophet ﷺ, and Allāh ﷻ will love you. When Allāh ﷻ loves someone, He ﷻ helps them, makes them happy, and places love in their heart. Without this love, nothing in this life brings any benefit. The Prophet ﷺ was sent for all creation, and his ﷺ way is the beautiful way to salvation.

Don’t Be Cheated by This Life

The Prophet ﷺ said this world is a prison for the believer and paradise for the non-believer. Even the greatest comfort in this world is nothing compared to the life of paradise. Many people sell their ākhirah for this world, thinking they are clever. Use your mind, look to the ākhirah, and don’t be cheated by this life.

The Worst Thing for Humanity

The worst thing for humanity is to follow a leader with no mercy and no fear of Allāh ﷻ. Such people lead others to hell, as Pharaoh and Nimrod did before. Be careful and do not follow their way. Nothing is forever in this dunyā, and Sayyidunā Mahdī is coming to spread justice and goodness, in shā’a Llāh.

Highlights of Guidance for Dunyā

Two years have passed since our last visit to Famagusta. Servanthood is in being sincere and showing the good. Intention is what’s important. Pray, fast, honor our ‎Prophet ﷺ and be steadfast on the way. A message to mothers on raising children.

Don’t Think Bad of People

Allāh ﷻ warns believers in the Qur’ān to stay away from bad thinking about people. Many times, what a person assumes has nothing to do with reality, like someone in a dark room who imagines frightening things around him. Speaking out of bad suspicion destroys homes and families and makes others share in this sin. Asking and investigating for marriage or important matters is not bad suspicion, but when you accuse people without certainty, you take a great sin upon yourself.

Happiness in Both Worlds

A believer prays for happiness in this world and the next. The greatest happiness in this life is to follow the way of Allāh ﷻ and the Prophet ﷺ. Allāh ﷻ puts happiness in the heart of the believer, whatever their outward state may be. With the Prophet’s ﷺ shafā‘ah and by Allāh’s ﷻ permission, the believer passes easily through the Day of Resurrection and enters paradise without delay. Do not be ashamed of being Muslim, for Allāh ﷻ is happy with you.
