Everlasting Benefit of Mosque Builders

Those who build mosques are believers in Allāh ﷻ, His ﷻ Messenger ﷺ, and the Last Day. Whoever is granted this is fortunate, as the reward continues until Qiyāmah – even if the mosque is destroyed. Our Ottoman ancestors built many mosques, and it is only such righteous deeds that remain. Reviving their mosques brings barakah and becomes a means for guidance and light.

Know Your Helplessness, Turn to Allāh ﷻ

Minds stand bewildered before Allāh’s ﷻ dominion, and not even all the wisdom in the universe can reach a single point of it. He ﷻ is our Majestic Lord, yet people learn two things and begin to think they are something. Allāh ﷻ created us from earth, and to earth we will return, but many are deceived by ideas like space travel. Knowledge is given so we may see our helplessness and turn to Him ﷻ for mercy and forgiveness – but mankind is quickly deceived by shayṭān.

Martyrdom Is the Highest Rank in Islām

Wherever the ṣaḥābah went, light and barakah appeared. Hala Sultan came to Cyprus, as the Prophet ﷺ told her, and became a martyr there. Martyrdom is a great rank, not a bad thing, desired by all the ṣaḥābah. Sayyidunā Ḥusayn (as) and his companions drank martyrdom like sweet sherbet. They are not dead – their blessings and spiritual care remain alive. They give to whoever asks, according to each person’s need. May their help, barakah, and protection be upon us.

‘Āshūrā’ – A Gift from Allāh ﷻ

‘Āshūrā’ is a blessed gift that Allāh ﷻ gave to all people. Many prophets were saved or raised in rank on this day. Fasting on this day brings the reward of thirty days. Those who give charity, spend on their family, use kohl, and make ghusl find health and barakah. Sayyidunā Ḥusayn (as) was granted the highest honour – Leader of the Martyrs.

The Group on the Path of Truth

There will always be a group from the ummah upon the truth, following the way of the Prophet ﷺ. They remain on this path until Qiyāmah. They are people of ṭarīqah, connected through the Prophet ﷺ, the ṣaḥābah, the tābi‘īn, and the mashāyikh. This is the path of truth, and those who follow it will be safe. May Allāh ﷻ grant us to remain on this path.

The Greatest Jihād Is Against Your Ego

Muḥarram is the last of the four sacred months in which Allāh ﷻ forbade war. Jihād is necessary, but only under the command of an amīr. Many today are deceived into false jihād that brings only ruin. The greatest jihād is against your ego – a daily battle we often lose but must keep fighting, especially by being aware not to be deceived by those who have no respect for the Prophet ﷺ and mislead others.

Plant the Qur’ān in a Child

The noble Qur’ān shows the best path and is more important than breathing. It contains healing and every kind of goodness. Teaching the Qur’ān to children sharpens their mind, beautifies their manners, and strengthens their soul. Families should spend five minutes daily with their children to read one page of the Qur’ān so they do not forget. This is a seed planted in the child that will grow into a mighty tree and bring blessings, in shā’a Llāh.

The Wisdom of Opposites

Allāh ﷻ created everything with its opposite – day and night, believer and disbeliever, justice and oppression. In His ﷻ wisdom He ﷻ created everything as a test. Be pleased with His ﷻ decree. Be on the side of light and leave everything at its center, as Merkez Efendi taught. May Allāh ﷻ keep us content, in shā’a Llāh.

Every Soul Is a Hostage to Its Deeds

Every person is accountable for himself. No deed is ever lost – except what Allāh ﷻ erases when you ask for forgiveness while you still breathe. One breath is better than a thousand years in the grave. In the Hereafter, every soul is a hostage to what it has earned. Only good deeds will free you. After death, nothing helps except a righteous child, beneficial knowledge, or lasting charity.

The Divine Wisdom of Hijrah

The Prophet’s ﷺ migration from Makkah to Madīnah was not out of fear, but by Allāh’s ﷻ command. Every step was full of wisdom, guidance, and miracle. Nothing happens without its time, and the order of hijrah came when his ﷺ mission in Makkah was complete. Today, many leave Muslim lands for worldly reasons, but it is better to stay with patience and protect what has been built. Allāh ﷻ has given the most valuable places to Muslims – do not leave them to the non-believers.

The Hijrī Year, a Year of Blessings

The Hijrī year is filled with Allāh’s ﷻ blessings. While others celebrate with empty pursuits, we enter our year with du‘ā’ for goodness – for ourselves and all humanity. From Muḥarram to Dhū l-Ḥijjah, every month holds blessings and duties for believers. This is not an empty year – it is full of meaning, reward, and mercy. May Allāh ﷻ send the Ṣāḥib in this new year.

The Adab of Ḥajj

Ḥajj is a divine opportunity granted by Allāh ﷻ. Everyone should make the intention to perform it, striving to fulfil its adab, farḍ, wājib, sunnah, and mustaḥabb acts to the best of their ability. Even a single prayer in Masjidu l-Ḥarām equals one hundred thousand elsewhere. Do not miss this chance. Focus on tasbīḥāt, reciting the Qur’ān, helping others, and seeking knowledge. Every moment spent there is showered with mercy and blessings.

Raising Righteous Children

Allāh ﷻ says in the Holy Qur’ān that your children are a test for you. Pray to Allāh ﷻ to keep them steadfast on His ﷻ path. A righteous child is the most precious of treasures. Raise them with ḥalāl earnings and love for the Prophet ﷺ and Allāh ﷻ, so they bring blessings in this world and the hereafter, becoming a source of goodness.

The Garment of Piety

Allāh ﷻ says in the Holy Qur’ān that the best garment is taqwá. Today, people are obsessed with wearing expensive clothes with brand names, but these hold no value in the sight of Allāh ﷻ. True value lies in the heart. Taqwá means to fear Allāh ﷻ, feel shame before Him ﷻ, and be mindful of Him ﷻ. This is the best garment. It protects and beautifies in the sight of Allāh ﷻ.

What Allāh ﷻ Wants Will Happen

Allāh ﷻ created everything perfectly, as the Best of Creators. Before humans, countless creatures existed and vanished. This world will end, as Allāh ﷻ teaches in the Holy Qur’ān that life here is not forever. This world is not paradise; it is full of trials, war, and corruption. True believers are not anxious, for everything happens by Allāh’s ﷻ will. Be content with what Allāh ﷻ gives, and you will find peace in this life and the next.

Real Beauty Comes with Adab

Allāh ﷻ created humans in the best form. Mawlānā Shaykh Nāẓim used to say: “O Allāh ﷻ, beautify my character just as You ﷻ have beautified my form.” In that perfect appearance, Allāh ﷻ wants you to perfect your inner self to become Insānu l-Kāmil. This is the path of light shown by our Prophet ﷺ: to perfect your manners, your adab. That is what raises your rank in the Divine Presence and among people, and protects you from harm.

Strong Through Belief

Allāh ﷻ says that human beings were created weak. Among all creation, mankind is the weakest, but Allāh ﷻ gave them belief to become strong. He ﷻ gave them a mind to know and accept their Creator ﷻ. Only with Allāh ﷻ can they find strength and control the ego. Now oppression has reached its peak, and everything is ready for the Saviour to come.

Mawlana Is Always With Us

Mawlānā Shaykh Nāẓim passed to another world eleven years ago, but he is always with us. His spiritual support is with each one until Qiyāmah. Submit to your murshid with love, thanking Allāh ﷻ for Mawlānā’s merciful choice, as it is a great favour. By following your murshid, your life will be filled with reward, barakah, and beauty.

Hold Firm to the Rope of Salvation

Allāh ﷻ says in the Qur’ān that those who believe in Him ﷻ will have no fear and no sorrow. The only true path is the way of Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ – steadfast and strong until Qiyāmah. Whoever follows it is safe; whoever leaves it is destroyed, and their life holds no value. So hold firm to this rope of salvation, so that the floods do not carry you away. May Allāh ﷻ keep us steady upon this path of light.

The End of Time

We are living in the end of time – an age heavy with fitnah and confusion, where shayṭān turns small sparks into ruin. The Prophet ﷺ praised those who hold firm. We are advised to remain silent, stay safe at home, and surrender to Allāh’s ﷻ will. It is the most difficult time, but the end is for the believers, in shā’a Llāh.

The Heart of Islām

Ṭarīqah is the heart of Sharī‘ah and the essence of Islām – the purest way of Rasūlu Llāh ﷺ. Through worship and purification of the soul, it draws us near to Allāh ﷻ. It spreads Islām with love and light. Yet shayṭān deceives some into rejecting it and falsely accusing its followers of disbelief, despite the Prophet’s ﷺ warning. True ṭarīqah leads through the awliyā’ on the path of Rasūlu Llāh ﷺ, so follow their way to draw near to Allāh ﷻ and His ﷻ beloved.

Be in This World as a Traveller

The Prophet ﷺ taught us to live as strangers or travellers in this dunyā, for the ākhirah is our true home. Every soul will return to Allāh ﷻ and be accountable for its deeds. Invest in good deeds – they alone endure. Make your intentions for Allāh’s ﷻ pleasure and find their benefit in the ākhirah.

Fātiḥah a Gift Beyond Measure

Sūratu l-Fātiḥah is Allāh’s ﷻ precious gift to the Prophet ﷺ and his ﷺ Ummah, not given to other prophets. Without it, prayer is invalid; with it, every good is opened. It is healing and light, yet people chase worthless things, neglecting this treasure. Endless thanks to Allāh ﷻ who made us from the Ummah of Muḥammad ﷺ and granted us this honour – may He ﷻ make it everlasting.

Whoever Cheats Us Is Not from Us

The Prophet ﷺ warned, “Whoever cheats us is not from us,” for many come to the dergah with pure hearts yet meet those who cheat them. Allāh ﷻ says in the Qur’ān to check carefully before acting, so you don’t regret it later. Just as hypocrites misled in the Prophet’s ﷺ time, they do so today, even in holy places. Investigate carefully – ask who they are and if their word is true – so you find benefit, for Allāh ﷻ is with the righteous.

Leave What Does Not Concern You

The Prophet ﷺ taught that a Muslim’s excellence lies in leaving what does not concern them. Interfering in what’s not ours brings confusion and harm. Instead, focus on your self and your family to be beneficial. Our Prophet’s ﷺ words are precious jewels – whoever holds onto them will find ease and success.

Mending Ties on ‘Īd

‘Īd is a time to mend ties, for Allāh ﷻ commands us to uphold kinship – neglecting it is a sin that withholds rizq. Even if reconciliation feels difficult, give salām to restore bonds. Returning salām is a duty we must fulfill. This ‘Īd, let go of resentment and welcome goodness for Allāh’s ﷻ pleasure.

The Gift of ‘Īd

Allāh ﷻ has given us ‘Īd as a gift, a time of joy and blessings for all believers. He ﷻ is pleased with those who rejoice in it. Even in hardship, Muslims are happy and thankful for this divine favour. The greatest treasure is strong īmān, which brings true joy when the world offers nothing. May Allāh ﷻ bless this ‘Īd, increasing our faith and mercy, in shā’a Llāh.

Show Forbearance for Allāh’s ﷻ Sake

Allāh ﷻ teaches that each person is responsible for their own deeds. Do not force others –advise with kindness, then leave them be. True believers show forbearance, responding to ignorance with peace and faults with patience. This draws you closer to Allāh’s ﷻ way, in shā’a Llāh.

‘Īd: A Gift from Allāh ﷻ

‘Īd is a gift from Allāh ﷻ for those who complete Ramaḍān. He ﷻ commands us to celebrate with takbīr and tahlīl, for these are His ﷻ chosen days – not the fabricated customs of this world. The believer’s heart is filled with joy, while those who neglect fasting are deprived of it. Honour this gift, for in it lies Allāh’s ﷻ pleasure and blessing, in shā’a Llāh.

If You Love Allāh ﷻ, Follow the Prophet ﷺ

Allāh ﷻ says in the Holy Qur’ān, “If you love Allāh ﷻ, follow me ﷺ, and Allāh ﷻ will love you.” The Prophet ﷺ is the most beloved to Allāh ﷻ, and true love for him ﷺ means following his ﷺ path and overcoming the ego. This brings Allāh’s ﷻ love and forgiveness. May Allāh ﷻ increase our love for him ﷺ, in shā’a Llāh.

How to Reach Laylatu l-Qadr

Laylatu l-Qadr is a night worth more than a thousand months, a gift from Allāh ﷻ to this ummah. Pray two raka‘āt before sleeping and wake for tahajjud every night to reach its blessings. This is the way the Prophet ﷺ taught – simple and full of mercy. Islām is not difficult; neglecting it leads to the loss of Allāh’s ﷻ favour. May we be among those granted its blessings.

Loving What Allāh ﷻ Loves

A Muslim’s love and hate must be for the sake of Allāh ﷻ. Loving what He ﷻ loves and hating what He ﷻ hates is the scale for our religious life. Loving what Allāh ﷻ dislikes destroys you. True love is only for His ﷻ sake, and anything else brings harm.

The Mirror of the Mu’min

The Prophet ﷺ said, “A Mu’min is the mirror of a Mu’min.” A true believer sees their brother as they see themselves, wishing for them the same good. Without envy or deceit, they reflect sincerity and love for Allāh ﷻ and His Messenger ﷺ. Just as Shams-i Tabrīzī was a mirror for Mawlānā Jalālu d-Dīn Rūmī, Mu’mins should guide each other to truth.

What Is Destined Will Happen

Allāh ﷻ decrees all things, and what He ﷻ wills comes to pass. Don’t burden your mind with worry or sorrow over this world, for only Allāh ﷻ controls it. Look at the Prophet’s ﷺ time of hardship – through surrender to Him ﷻ, the greatest happiness was found. Be happy, submit to Allāh ﷻ, and find peace, for what is destined will happen by His ﷻ command alone.

They Do Not Fear the Blame

In the Holy Qur’ān, Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says that believers do not fear the blame of those who attack them for following His ﷻ way. The ignorant may shout, swear, or fight, but their words have no value – harm returns to them alone. Stay firm on the true path, thank Allāh ﷻ for your faith, and pray for their guidance, in shā’a Llāh.

Better Than a Thousand Months

Laylatu l-Qadr is better than a thousand months. Whoever receives its blessings attains all kinds of goodness. Allāh ﷻ has hidden its exact time so that people remain in worship, and they will surely reach it even if they do not realise it. Its great beauty will be revealed in the Ākhirah, free from foolish desires. The best du‘ā’ is to ask for forgiveness and well-being.

Everyone Admires Their Own Opinion

The Prophet ﷺ warned that in the end times, people would admire their own opinions and refuse to accept others’. This leads to division, harm, and a rejection of Allāh’s ﷻ will. True benefit comes from accepting reality and following divine guidance. Let go of arrogance, embrace the truth, and submit to Allāh’s ﷻ decree.

The Sunnah of I’tikāf

I‘tikāf is a Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, observed in the last ten days of Ramaḍān. It means staying in the mosque, dedicating yourself to worship, and leaving worldly distractions behind. Anyone can perform it, even for a short time, and gain the reward of i‘tikāf. The Prophet ﷺ showed us these beautiful acts as a lesson for people. Following his ﷺ example is a great virtue and beauty.

Be Good to Each Other

Allāh ﷻ says in the Qur’ān, “Believers are brothers, so make peace.” Be good to each other so that there is no enmity or fitnah. This brings unity and Allāh’s ﷻ mercy, which gives beauty and saves lives. Allāh ﷻ loves those who follow this path. It brings blessings and happiness.

The Need to Fight Evil

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla orders believers to perform jihād in His ﷻ path. The Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam fought at Badr to end oppression, showing the true way of jihād. It is not only war but also the greater battle against our ego. May Allāh ﷻ help us follow this command, in shā’a Llāh.

Lessons from the Battle of Badr

The Battle of Badr was a test for the believers. Though few in number, Allāh ﷻ granted them victory. A believer should not lose hope. Whether he wins or loses, as long as he is with Allāh ﷻ, he is always in profit. The blessed ṣaḥābah of Badr are among the greatest in Islām.

A Magnificent Night for Humanity

This night is a great and magnificent night for humanity and Islām. It is the night when the Prophet ﷺ ascended to the heavens, and his ﷺ greatness was shown. The prayers and worship on this night are more accepted. Ask Allāh ﷻ for forgiveness and health. This is the advice of our Prophet ﷺ. Those who follow it will succeed.

The Reward of Ḥajj and ‘Umrah

The reward of Ḥajj and ‘Umrah is a beautiful gift from Allāh ﷻ. While these journeys may be difficult for the body, they bring relief and beauty to the soul. Make your intention for Ḥajj; even if you cannot go, Allāh ﷻ rewards you for every year you wait. The true benefit lies in going there. May Allāh ﷻ grant it to everyone who wishes to go.

The Miracle of Isrā’ wa-l-Mi‘rāj

Isrā’ wa-l-Mi‘rāj is a great miracle of our Prophet ﷺ. In one night, he ﷺ travelled from Mecca to Jerusalem and ascended to the heavens. The journey through the heavens to the Divine Presence of Allāh ﷻ, the nearest place a human can reach, was only for him ﷺ. There, he ﷺ prayed for us, his ﷺ nation. We are endlessly grateful. May Allāh ﷻ grant us to be near him ﷺ in Paradise through the blessings of these holy days.

Daily Ṣadaqah Is Your Insurance

The Prophet ﷺ taught that giving Ṣadaqah daily is a shield from harm and extends your life. Even a small act, like giving half a date, can save you from the Hellfire. Allāh ﷻ loves the generous ones. By giving every day, we seek Allāh’s ﷻ pleasure and His ﷻ protection through the honour of our Holy Prophet ﷺ.

The Fitnah of Modernism

For over two hundred years, modernism has led people away from Islām; starting with the French Revolution and continuing today. Those who follow it lose their dignity and faith. The way of the mashāyikh is the way to safety. May Allāh ﷻ protect us from this fitnah.

Use the Mind Allāh ﷻ Gave You

Allāh ﷻ gave humans intellect to distinguish between good and bad. He ﷻ asks in the Qur’ān, “Do you not use your intellect?” Those who fail to use their minds and instead follow their desires, their ego, and what shayṭān likes will regret it in the ākhirah.

The Way to Inner and Outer Cleanliness

Cleanliness is part of belief. Without being clean, no worship is accepted. We clean ourselves with water, and we make ourselves clean inside by following the Prophet ﷺ. This path leads to true purity and protection from misguidance.
