We’re Planting Trees of Goodness

This is our last meeting here; Allāh ﷻ has granted us a larger Dergah near Sayyidina Abu Ayyub al-Ansari. Every Dergah is a tree. We are planting trees of goodness whose fruit will be eaten in Akhirah.

A Magnificent Night for Humanity

This night is a great and magnificent night for humanity and Islām. It is the night when the Prophet ﷺ ascended to the heavens, and his ﷺ greatness was shown. The prayers and worship on this night are more accepted. Ask Allāh ﷻ for forgiveness and health. This is the advice of our Prophet ﷺ. Those who follow it will succeed.

The Reward of Ḥajj and ‘Umrah

The reward of Ḥajj and ‘Umrah is a beautiful gift from Allāh ﷻ. While these journeys may be difficult for the body, they bring relief and beauty to the soul. Make your intention for Ḥajj; even if you cannot go, Allāh ﷻ rewards you for every year you wait. The true benefit lies in going there. May Allāh ﷻ grant it to everyone who wishes to go.

The Miracle of Isrā’ wa-l-Mi‘rāj

Isrā’ wa-l-Mi‘rāj is a great miracle of our Prophet ﷺ. In one night, he ﷺ travelled from Mecca to Jerusalem and ascended to the heavens. The journey through the heavens to the Divine Presence of Allāh ﷻ, the nearest place a human can reach, was only for him ﷺ. There, he ﷺ prayed for us, his ﷺ nation. We are endlessly grateful. May Allāh ﷻ grant us to be near him ﷺ in Paradise through the blessings of these holy days.

Daily Ṣadaqah Is Your Insurance

The Prophet ﷺ taught that giving Ṣadaqah daily is a shield from harm and extends your life. Even a small act, like giving half a date, can save you from the Hellfire. Allāh ﷻ loves the generous ones. By giving every day, we seek Allāh’s ﷻ pleasure and His ﷻ protection through the honour of our Holy Prophet ﷺ.

The Fitnah of Modernism

For over two hundred years, modernism has led people away from Islām; starting with the French Revolution and continuing today. Those who follow it lose their dignity and faith. The way of the mashāyikh is the way to safety. May Allāh ﷻ protect us from this fitnah.

Use the Mind Allāh ﷻ Gave You

Allāh ﷻ gave humans intellect to distinguish between good and bad. He ﷻ asks in the Qur’ān, “Do you not use your intellect?” Those who fail to use their minds and instead follow their desires, their ego, and what shayṭān likes will regret it in the ākhirah.

The Way to Inner and Outer Cleanliness

Cleanliness is part of belief. Without being clean, no worship is accepted. We clean ourselves with water, and we make ourselves clean inside by following the Prophet ﷺ. This path leads to true purity and protection from misguidance.

Not Honoring Him ﷺ Means No Iman

Today is the first day of the holy month of Sha’ban, the month of our ‎Prophet ﷺ. We should make Salawat as much as we can. Those who don’t honor and glorify him ﷺ have no īmān.

The Mockers’ End

Allāh ﷻ says, “Mock! Allah will expose whay you fear.” Mockers of believers will eventually be disgraced, in dunya and akhirah, unless they repent.

Have Adab and Don’t Object

Adab of ṭarīqah must be first of all to Allāh ﷻ. He ﷻ is The Owner of Absolute Sovereignty. Have Adab and don’t object but beg Him ﷻ not to test us.

Do Good and Disregard Shayṭān

Help each other. Do good. Do not do evil and disregard shayṭān. Shayṭān does not see that good, and does not show it. There is no profit but harm to oneself firstly in doing evil.

Muslims Get Along Well

Muslims get along well with others. They imitate our Prophet ﷺ and are merciful with people unlike hypocrites and non-Muslims. They should treat everyone well.

From Ḥayy to Hu

We go from Ḥayy to Hu. We go from Him ﷻ to Him ﷻ. Some people understand it wrongly thinking we go from emptiness to emptiness. People must be prepared accordingly.

The Greatest Gift from Allāh ﷻ

Very little is given to people from knowledge. Guidance is the greatest gift from Allāh ﷻ. This is the greatest thing we must make Shukr for.

Mankind Oppress Themselves

Oppression is not from the attributes of Allāh ﷻ, Ḥāshā! Instead of worshipping Allāh ﷻ, people worship their egos and oppress themselves.

Disapprove Badness in Your Heart

Nowadays it is impossible to change with hands. They think the badness they do is good. But you must disapprove in your heart.

Wildness of the Ego

Allāh ﷻ sent prophets to remove the wildness of the ego. If given the chance, it will say “I am your God”, just as Pharoah.

Ask For Light

Allāh ﷻ has given light only for believers. They shine brightly with it. Ask for it, says Mawlānā.

Value What’s Lasting

People are chasing Dunya whereas the everlasting is Akhirah. Wherever you are, Allāh ﷻ will give you your Rizq. Don’t chase Rizq leaving your religion. Find shelter in Masjids, Dergahs and mosques.

Lucky Are Those on This Way

This world is three days; what’s important is Akhirah. Today is the Urs of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim. The lucky ones are those who are with them on this way. Paradise is awaiting them.

The Wisdom of Creation

What is the wisdom of creation? Whoever knows it doesn’t trouble himself in dunya. Otherwise, they live a totally useless life.

The Heart Matters, Not Appearances

People nowadays only care about their appearance and not their inside. They are definitely not changing their appearance for Allāh ﷻ to love them but for lustful gazes from people.

Following Him ﷺ Is Our Duty

Our Holy ‎Prophet ﷺ is the best example for all human beings. Naqshbandi Tariqah strives to do everything he ﷺ did. Following him ﷺ is our duty.

What Is Wisdom?

Allāh ﷻ gives wisdom to some. What is wisdom? There are groups now that instead of attacking immorality and Kufr, they are attacking Muslims and their practices.

Beware of False Testimony

Making false testimony is taking the rights of others. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ says that the biggest sin is the false testimony. It can also be spiritually, not only materially.

The Night of Wishes

Tonight is Laylat ul-Ragha’ib or The Night of Wishes. Shukr to Allāh ﷻ it is one of the holy nights. What we wish for or desire is Akhirah.

Don’t Interfere in His ﷻ Will

Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, we have reached the three holy months safely. We are not happy with the sins committed by us or by others. But Allāh ﷻ has meant it for them. We can’t interfere in His ﷻ Will.
